PROFIBUS Inspektors monitor the logical data exchange

 

Uninterrupted reading for all tasks

No additional software is required to read data from the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT. You only need a web browser (eg Mozilla Firefox) to access the web interface integrated into the device. This allows you to see both the current network status and a history of past events.

Note: The web interface of the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT can be easily accessed via the browser on the connected device (e.g. laptop or tablet) – without the need for additional software. No active internet connection required.

Topology works with status information.

For the evaluation of a PROFIBUS network, knowledge of the individual devices' cables among themselves is a central prerequisite. This topology can be stored on the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT with all important parts of the infrastructure, such as repeaters and measurement points, including device information, and can be retrieved as required. Additionally, current and previous governments for individual nodes are shown in color. This makes it much easier to limit existing faults to certain segments or conspicuous nodes.

You can clearly see which device is most often affected by the events that have occurred (eg telegram repeats). This gives you important information for troubleshooting.

Automatic alerts for PROFIBUS errors

As soon as a threshold value is exceeded, PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT creates an alarm to warn the operator in time so that they can carry out targeted, planned maintenance action. Warnings can be given in several ways. An LED on the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT shows immediately which errors occurred in the network. In addition to this warning, a potential contact can be connected, e.g. to send a message directly to the control system. The third option is to send an email to inform the responsible maintenance team as soon as possible.

By accessing the web interface of the PROFIBUS-INspektor® NT, a detailed alarm list shows which error occurred on which device together with a time stamp. In addition, it records which event (threshold value) triggered the alarm. The internal memory makes it possible to record up to 2000 alarm messages, and each alarm is assigned a snapshot of up to 1000 PROFIBUS telegrams.
