All facilities age over time. The communication networks are also affected by this aging. It often begins with unnoticed, sporadic deviations, whether due to wear and tear from use or external influences from the production environment. Because these deviations often go undetected, the potential for failure can increase and threaten plant operations. But it doesn't have to go that far!

By regular or permanent monitoring of the communication quality in the plant network, almost all errors can be avoided. This preventive maintenance (predictive maintenance) can be carried out by trained maintenance personnel or external specialists such as our service technicians. When choosing, it is important to weigh the respective costs.

• Networks are maintained by well-trained in-house staff with the necessary equipment. Monitor, control and maintain your plant networks completely independently. Professional training and appropriate measuring equipment are required.
• Network is maintained by external service provider. Hire an external specialist for regular inspection and maintenance of the plant networks. The scope of services varies.
• Combined maintenance with in-house staff and external support. Offload own maintenance: An external partner supports with time-saving troubleshooting or maintenance actions based on maintenance data, e.g. from permanent network monitoring.

For maximum availability, we recommend regular testing of the communication quality from commissioning. These tests can be carried out by our own personnel after appropriate training and with the right measuring equipment.
