Repeater with integrated PROFIBUS analysis!
The extension module DP Diag Repeater X2 is easily connected to the main Ethernet module and directly connected to the backplane bus. Data exchange and power supply for this module is via the backplane bus. Each extension module has integrated PROFIBUS analysis that monitors and evaluates the entire telegram communication logically and physically. The measured network quality can always be retrieved via the web interface of the Ethernet main module or directly via the LED indicators.
The extension module DP Diag Repeater X2 provides a PROFIBUS interface for connecting a PROFIBUS connector via Sub-D socket. The PROFIBUS network can be extended by an additional segment or analyzed by another PROFIBUS master system per extension module, depending on how the Ethernet master module is configured.
If a segment ends or starts directly at a connection of the extension module, the bus termination resistor should be activated directly on the connector. The PG socket on the connector can be used as an online measurement point for suitable diagnostic tools.
